Our successes

You can only measure how good you are from client feedback and thankfully our clients think we perform brilliantly for them and deliver real results. We love a complex challenge and getting into the detail to lead and devise the strategy but, at the same time we also get as much satisfaction from supporting teams where they have gaps to deliver training projects or embed the strategic changes in their organisations.

    Alstom Toronto Strategic Advisory

    Strategic Operations Support

    Provided strategic advisory services to Alstom's operations in Toronto, delivering on-site consultation and remote support to enhance operational effectiveness and strategic decision-making. BPK were instrumental in the success of several operational projects at this time in Toronto.

    Elizabeth Line Concession

    Bid Support

    Supported Systra with the successful GTS bid (GTR & Tokyo Metro) for the future Elizabeth Line Concession, contributing to winning this major rail infrastructure contract starting May 2025. Resulted in a winning bid being secured for the overall client.

    Service Recovery Initiative

    Developed the Western Route Integrated Train Service Recovery (ITSR) programme for JFRail, creating comprehensive recovery strategies and operational frameworks for improved service resilience. ITSR delivers performance and communications benefits across Controls in UK rail.

    Incident Investigations

    Leading several significant investigations

    Working on these both independently and with other consultancies. What often stands out wasn’t the technical complexity, but the humanity in the response. Teams across organisations coming together with a shared purpose: keep everyone safe. Reviews often reinforce something BPK believe in: leadership in disruption is about clarity, empathy and learning.

    Digital Railway and ETCS

    In-Cab Signalling Initiatives

    Delivering programmes for ETCS application in UK Rail. Supported HS1 on ETCS strategy to replace TVM430 and developed a new HS1 Operational Model with the University of Birmingham. Developed ETCS driver PDPs and FRMCS replacement radio strategy for Systra. Developed ETCS ‘Lite’ options for HS2 and WCML (WCPD).

    Rail Virtual Training Development

    Training and Change

    Led development of innovative rail-specific virtual training aids for train crew at Study Academy, creating scalable training solutions applicable across multiple rail organisations including Alstom Toronto.
